About the Role 

It is expected for this role to assist that Finance Team with any accounts administration. To be successful in this role you will be highly organised and love the challenge of working in a growing organisation and improving systems and processes. 

 

The responsibilities will include: 

  • Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording creditors invoice data.

  • Reconcile the accounts transactions to ensure that all payments are accounted for and accurately posted.

  • Monthly reconciliation of creditors statements and follow up on missing invoices or statements

  • Assisting in the preparation of month and year-end financial reporting.

  • Ad-hoc tasks and reporting.

 

Key Skills and Qualification:

To be successful in this role you will have the following attributes: 

  • A solid work ethic and genuinely interested in what we do and how you can support us.

  • A strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts principles with at least of 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.

  • You’ll have outstanding communication and relationship management skills. Superior verbal and written communication skills and a can-do attitude are a must!

  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers –a proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.

  • PC computer literate and highly skilled on:

    • Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Word and especially Excel.

    • Xero accounts system experience preferrable.

    • Proficiency in English.

  • Willingness to take ownership and responsibility for managing your workload. Demonstrated time management and priority management skills. Ability to multitask and work to deadlines and see tasks through to completion. 

  • Have a sense of humour and be a good team player encouraging positive culture and collaboration.
